Situation
Lavendersun is a boutique e-commerce site specialising in baby clothing.
Before working with Blurry, Lavendersun had razor thin profit margins, making paid campaigns unfeasible as they would either further diminish the already thin profits or result in operating at a loss.
This meant that Blurry had to find an organic solution that could reliably bring Lavendersun customers, without breaking the bank.
Strategy
We performed a variety of on-page & off-page SEO techniques this included:
- Speed optimisation on file size and compression of code.
- Consistent new backlinks MoM from very niche specific domains
- Creation of new category page optimised for a variety of keywords
- Detailed internal linking structure across product & collection pages
- Leverage Pinterest & Instagram and pinned 1000's of pins & 100's of post to improve social signal & promote brand search
Blurry performed technical SEO to improve the page speed of the site and created 40+ new keyword-optimised collection pages that were all internally linked to one another. From there, we secured consistent backlinks whilst increasing velocity MoM and from different referring domains for the site by providing vouchers to motherhood bloggers in exchange for a blog post about Lavendersun’s products. Lastly, we established a strong social media presence across Instagram and Pinterest, boosting brand awareness and traffic.
Results
By increasing Lavendersun’s domain authority through a combination of backlinking, SEO and social media strategies, Blurry boosted Lavendersun’s organic traffic by 1,249%, bringing in an extra 54,977 new users to the site.
